Ahhhh…. fruits and veggies! Nutritious and delicious! And usually sprayed with chemicals… Cleaning them properly is key!

We could go into pesticides and why we don’t want to ingest them… but that’s a story for another day.

We could also talk about organic versus conventiionally grown… again, a storu for another day.

Let’s talk about the solution.

Cleaning those fruits and veggies is of the upmost importance! There are many ways to do it, ranging from easy and cheap to complex and expensive. Let’s talk about some of my favorite ways.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother) soak
Take 1 gallon of clean water and add 1 cup of ACV (with the mother) and 1/4 cup sea salt. mix and add your produce. Let soak 20 minutes then rinse off your produce.

-Baking Soda Soak
Take 1 gallon of clean water and add 1 cup of baking soda (you want a high quality baking soda like this one – ) and 1/4 cup of sea salt. Let soak for 20 minutes then rinse well.

-11.5 alkalized water soak
This is what we use. From our Kangen Water Machine we get 11.5pH water. This emulsifies oils (most all pesticides are oil based). We soak our produce for 5-10 minutes then rinse well. You can find info on the Kangen machine here –

No matter how you choose to wash your produce, make sure you do! You don’t want those unnecessary chemicals working against you on your healing journey.
